| The Expo show was great! Thanks to all those who stopped by to check out the car, we appreciate your input! NOW. . . . .BACK TO WORK TO FINISH THIS CAR UP. PRACTICE DAY IS ONLY A MONTH AWAY!!! |
03/11/2007: The car is back in the shop; we took a
couple days to catch our breath, and now are back at it.
So far this week the guys have installed the brakes -
yup, there were no brake lines on the car at the show,
as well as no fuel line yet. There was also a "dummy"
engine in the car, so we still have that to contend with
soon.
It took a couple of days to round up the pieces for the
brakes & fuel lines - you know how it is, you think you
have something until you try to find it ;o) The pics
pretty much explain. . .looking for fittings. . .
Anyway, we had kept all the original brakes lines, etc.
when we tore the car apart, so they were all inspected,
and we replaced what was no good. The brakes are
all stock, exactly what came on the car; we replaced
any hoses that weren't looking so good, and got
everything back onto the car - then bled out the
system, so the brakes are now in working order. Of
course, Joey decided to spruce them up a little with a
can of paint. . .lol. . .
